Hope is Built through Action

We Shine a Light.

No child belongs on the street. We rescue Kampala's children and give them the education and care they deserve.

When we combine the compassion to rescue with the resources to educate, we transform lives. This is our theory of change: Rescue, Rehabilitate, Educate.

Our Theory of Change

Rescue. Rehabilitate. Educate.

Three steps that transform a life on the street into a future filled with hope and dignity.

01

Rescue

We find children living on the streets of Kampala and offer them a way out — a hand extended in love, not judgment.

02

Rehabilitate

We provide a safe home at Maya, counselling and a loving community where healing can begin.

03

Educate

We equip children with knowledge, skills and confidence to build a future filled with hope and dignity.

A Survivor's Promise

Born from the ashes, built on hope.

Tine on the Mountain was not born in a boardroom. It was born from the ashes of a painful childhood and the unbreakable spirit of one woman — our founder and Executive Director.

Her firsthand experience of street life shapes everything we do. We do not just see a child on the street; we see ourselves. And we know, with the right care and love, they too can move mountains.
